SYSTEM ATAXITOG
The AtaxiTog System features a new design of the TheraTogs TankTop with long 'anchor flaps' that connect directly to the thigh and hip of the Hipster..

wady postawy The anchor flap design offers three key advantages:
  • Enhances proprioceptive input by automatically providing joint compression through the torso and hips.
  • Adds postural and hip stability without strapping.
  • Simplifies the TheraTogs donning and doffing process for patients who only need to address issues of stability, balance, and staggering gait caused by ataxia.

    Indications
The target population for AtaxiTog applications exhibits balancing difficulties relative to cerebellar dysfunction, without additional musculoskeletal problems.

The TheraTogs AtaxiTog system can be an effective modality for the management of balance problems in gait related to:
  • Cerebellar ataxia - static or progressive
  • Attention Deficity Disorder (ADD), responsive to deep compression
  • Balance loss with Multiple Sclerosis

    ANKLE DORSIFLEXION ASSIST SYSTEMS
The TheraTogs Ankle Dorsiflection Assist (DFA) System is designed to give clinicians a versatile, dynamic, and comfortable alternative to clumsy medical devices that are intended to address plantar fasciitis and calf muscle contracture.

wady postawyThe Dorsiflextion Assist System is available in three models:
Gait Trainer System designed for clinical use, to allow the clinician to position the ankle and foot during therapy, and to preview the effects of an AFO with DF assist and a free ankle.

Sleeping System, designed for calf muscle contracture prevention or management. This system implements the well-known strategy of applying low-load, prolonged elongation to shortened or hyperactive muscle and soft tissues to promote physiologic adaptation.

Combination Systemincludes both the Gait Trainer and Sleeping systems.

    Indications/Applications
The TheraTogs Ankle Dorsiflexion Assist System can be useful to persons exhibiting calf muscle contracture - or the potential to develop a contracture - in the presence of the following problems and diagnoses:
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Traumatic Brain Injury - acute, post-acute, and chronic phases
  • Hemiplegia due to Stroke - acute, post-acute, and chronic phases
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Congenital Equinus Deformity
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Idiopathic Toe Walking
  • Talipes Equinovarus (flexible type)

Benefits and Unique Features - Gait Trainer System
    Simplicity.
This temporary DF-assist device is made of elasticized, foam-lined, comfortable components that are easy to apply in minutes. The DF assist strap attaches to a precut calf cuff and a durable, flexible, Velcro-sensitive shoe mount.

    wady postawy Training Assistance
This system helps the user to experience improved ankle motion in gait without "taking over" for the DF musculature. The attending clinician can tune the DF-assist torque to accommodate changes in ankle function. Those clinicians who must manually assist their clients with foot clearance and placement while training on treadmills - with or without partial unweighting - will appreciate the usefulness of this helpful system.

    Orthotic Evaluation.
If your client needs an AFO, and you're curious whether she/he is ready to use an articulated free ankle with a DF-assist joint, this system will provide the opportunity to preview the effectiveness of an orthotic device with those features.

Benefits and Unique Features - Sleeping System
    Midtarsal Joint Support.
Midtarsal joint support is an essential component of foot deformity management, and comfort is essential to sleep. The Midtarsal Joint Support Strap can be applied to bias the foot position in favor of supination or pronation if those motions are readily available.
    Calf Stretch.

The Forefoot DF Strap adds gentle, adjustable elongation to the calf musculature.

    Midfoot Stabilization.
The 5-pronged DF Split Strap adds more midfoot stabilization while applying gentle elongation to the calf and toe flexion musculature and plantar fascia. The toes are supported against flexing in a cozy, adjustable wrap.

    THERATOGS FULL BODY SYSTEM
The TheraTogs Full Body System was originally designed for children with complex neuromotor disorders. The first TheraTogs model developed and released, it was targeted at the client population with the most need and the most to gain: young, ambulatory children with functional alignment and mobility issues incedent to cerebral palsy and other CNS dysfunction. wady postawy

The system is now available in a full range of sizes, and is the modality of choice to address a variety of neuromotor, postural, mobility, and balance issues.

The System wraps the torso and lower extremities in a Velcro-sensitive "strapping field" that allows the clinician to attach straps that can improve postural alignment and stability, and that can address the greatest variety of functional alignment and movement issues in the extremities proximal to the wrists and ankles.
